GOLDSBERRY AND THE RECORD BOOKS BGSU Single Season 2007-08 HONORS 2007-08 // Goldsberry's Final 2007-08 Stats in PDF Format Played in and started all 34 games ... averaged 8.4 ppg and 4.3 rpg ... unofficially led BGSU in charges taken ... once again topped the steal category (1.9 spg) ... averaged 2.5 assists per game ... a tri-captain ... named to simultaneous MAC Player of the Week (Nov. 12) and MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week (Nov.15) distinctions after the first week of the 2007-08 season ... entered the starting line-up on Nov. 9, against Valparaiso and would remain there through the rest of the season ... opened the schedule going 7-of-10 from the floor including 5-of-6 from behind the three point line en route to seeing a career high 21 points as BGSU beat Valparaiso in the home and season opener ... she also brought down eight rebounds and two steals in that win ... consistently found herself in the scoring column with a total of five-to-seven points while averaging nearly two steals and four rebounds per game until exploding for a 17 point night on the road at the University of Indiana (Dec. 16) ... Goldsberry was 6-of-6 from the floor including a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the three point line ... had her second four steal outing of the season at Delaware (Dec. 21), also had four rebounds, three assists and 11 points in the Falcons' win over the Blue Hens ... at the Iowa State Cyclone Shootout (Dec. 28-30), averaged 10.7 points through three games ... saw a tournament high 17 points versus Hampton (Dec. 29) ... was 10-19 from the field in Iowa and sank at least two three's in every game ... at Iowa State (Dec. 28) was 1.000 from the arc (3-of-3) ... also averaged nearly four rebounds and just over three assists per game as the Falcons went 2-1 and were the tournament runners-up ... began the conference season with six points and seven boards as BGSU sealed their first conference win of 2007-08 on Jan. 9 over Akron ... had a solid night of 10 points, five assists, six steals and four rebounds as Bowling Green repaid Ohio University (Jan. 12) for a loss in Anderson Arena just one season prior ... was once again perfect from the floor going 4-of-4 at Kent State (Jan. 16) in just 19 minutes played ... made three treys versus Miami (Jan. 22) and was 6-of-7 from the free throw line en route to a 15 point outing ... in typical Goldsberry fashion was solid across the board with six assists, six boards and three steals in the loss ... at home versus Northern Illinois (Feb. 9) scored 11 points ... closed the MAC West portion of the schedule with 17 points and 12 rebounds through the following two games ... opened the MAC East with another 10 point venture with Kent State (Feb. 20) while also pulling in eight rebounds, six assists and four steals ... in a win at Miami (Feb. 23) scored all nine of her points from behind the three point line ... final three of that game came at 3:27 of the second half putting the Falcons ahead 10 of the host RedHawks; BG would win that game 81-66 and would take sole possession of first place in the MAC East and over the league ... at Ohio (Feb. 27) hit the second of back-to-back BG's threes en route to helping the Falcons maintain a lead over the Bobcats at the half ... versus Buffalo (Mar. 1), had a "typical" all-around outing scoring seven points, while contributing three steals, six boards and two assists while not committing a turnover ... scored 9 pts, all from three point range as BGSU won a quarterfinal match versus Kent State in the MAC Tournament ... also grabbed two rebounds while dishing a pair of assists ... played a team high 48 minutes in a double overtime loss to Ohio in the MAC Tournament ... scored eight points while snatching a team high nine rebounds that afternoon ... hit four free throws in 17-seconds in the second OT of the Ohio game to give BGSU a two point lead with 1:11 remaining ... sank three important three pointers to help BGSU put the University of Dayton away in the first round of the WNIT ... first trey - with .02 left in the first half - gave BGSU a seven point lead at the half, while next two three pointers kept UD at bay despite their comeback tries ... had a game high 16 points that night with all makes from the field coming from behind the three point line, also was 7-of-8 from the stripe ... had two steals and a pair of assists to accompany her three rebounds ... scored eight points in the final game of the season at Michigan State (Mar. 22) ... was 2-of-5 from behind the line and 2-of-2 from the FT line ... also had four boards and a steal in that WNIT second round loss ... ranks 11th in the career three-point field goals made records ... holds the 7th best single season three-point field goal performance in Falcon women's history.
Named BGSU's Most Improved Player ... played in 34 games off the bench ... averaged 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game ... led the Falcons in steals, with 69 (2.0 spg) ... that total tied her for the fifth-most steals on the BG single-season list ... third on the team in assists ... in MAC games only, led the Falcons and tied for second in the league in steals, with 2.69 per game ... had a stellar 2.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio in league play, with 41 helpers and just 15 turnovers in the 16 games ... also averaged 4.6 points, 3.3 boards and 2.6 assists per game in MAC contests, ranking second on the team in the latter category ... had three double-digit scoring games on the season ... had a well-rounded stat line during an 11-0 BGSU run vs. Temple ... displayed her versatility with a defensive rebound, an assist, a shot fake and jumper from the left baseline, steals on back-to-back TU possessions, an offensive rebound and yet another steal -- all in a span of less than three minutes ... tied her then career-bests in five categories in that Temple game, with two field goals made, three assists, three steals, four rebounds and 29 minutes played ... then had career-high totals of five rebounds and four assists the next time out, vs. Oakland... scored 12 points vs. Duke, ranked fourth in the nation at the time of the game ... went 4-for-5 from three-point range in that game ... doubled her career scoring high to that point ... eight points and seven rebounds in road win over Miami ... then, pulled down a season-high eight rebounds in the next game, vs. Central Michigan ... had a then career-high five steals in the regular-season win over Toledo, and tied her career standard with four assists ... was a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range in regular-season win over Ball State ... had seven points, making all three of her shot attempts, in blowout win at Buffalo ... also had game-high totals of six assists (without a turnover) and six steals vs. the Bulls, setting career standards in both categories ... played a team-high 29 minutes in that win ... tied her career best with 12 points in road win over Kent State, and added five rebounds, five steals and three assists ... averaged 4.4 steals in a five-game span that began with the win at UB and culminated with the MAC Tournament triumph over UT ... had 11 points, including a team-high nine in the first half, in MAC Tournament semifinal-round win over Eastern Michigan ... led the Falcons in steals 13 times on the season, the most on the team.
