CLEVELAND (AP) - Liz Honegger scored 17 points and No. 24 Bowling Green shut down Toledo 68-46 Friday, earning the Falcons their third straight trip to the Mid-American Conference tournament final.

Bowling Green (27-2) won its 18th straight, dominating Toledo (11-18) with physical play on both ends of the court.

Honegger and her teammates drove past Toledo's defenders for a number of easy baskets. Ali Mann, an All-MAC first-team selection, scored 14 and Amber Flynn 13 off the bench.

Bowling Green will face Kent State in the tourney championship Saturday, a rematch of last year's final, which the Falcons won 81-75.

Kent State advanced Friday by rallying from a 16-point halftime deficit to beat Eastern Michigan 70-56.

Bowling Green never trailed against Toledo, making it a point to come out strong after struggling early in the quarterfinals against Northern Illinois. Honegger, who had 10 rebounds, scored 15 points in the first half and Flynn 10 to put the Falcons up 39-24 at intermission.

Savannah Werner led Toledo with 10 points. The Rockets shot 28 percent.

The Falcons are in The AP Top 25 poll for the first time since 1994 and haven't lost since falling to Kentucky in overtime Jan. 2. They are the fifth team to go unbeaten in MAC conference play and have won 24 straight games against league schools.
